Kettle Moraine Carriages has been a family operated business for over 40 years and counting. What began as a love of the days gone by and a love for draft horses has continued to evolve into an upstanding horse drawn carriage service operation that all can enjoy. Proprietors Mike and Jody Schulz met in 1998 on a 250 mile wagon train when Wisconsin celebrated its sesquicentennial (150th birthday). Both having grown up around driving and riding horses, Mike with quarter horses, Jody with Belgian Draft Horses, with the help of family, they carried over the legacy of the Schmidt Acres horse drawn hayrides and sleighrides business and have transformed it into an elegant and memorable form of horse drawn transportation and remembrance of days gone by for all to enjoy! Currently, Kettle Moraine Carriages fleet of vehicles includes everything from 1800’s original sleighs to a stagecoach as well as wagons and exquisite vis-à-vis carriages for your enjoyment. Our horses include well-mannered and well statured Belgian and Percheron Draft Horses.
